Apex Safari Co was founded through more than a decade of field experience tracking jaguars and observing wildlife across the remote river systems of Brazil’s Pantanal.
These firsthand experiences revealed the lasting impact that responsible wildlife encounters can have on both those who experience them and the places themselves.

The story behind our name - more than Jaguars
As the region's apex predator, the jaguar may sit at the top of the food chain, but it doesn't stand apart from the ecosystem - it depends on it, just as the ecosystem depends on the jaguar. Protecting jaguars also helps protect countless other species and their habitats.
That idea shaped our name.
Jaguars may be what first draws people to the Pantanal, but they reveal something much greater: one of the world's richest ecosystems and the people working to protect it.
